Terms of Service
This website is operated by Bob Deeley, sole trader, trading as Bob Deeley Photography. Contact: bdphotography.uk/pages/contact. A postal correspondence address is available on request via the contact form.
References to "we", "us", and "our" mean Bob Deeley.
1. Forming a contract
When you place an order on this website you are making an offer to purchase goods. We accept your offer when we send you an order confirmation email. A binding contract of sale is formed at that point, between you and Bob Deeley.
We reserve the right to decline any order — for example, if a product is unavailable or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we decline your order after payment has been taken, we will refund you promptly.
2. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not VAT-registered; no VAT is charged and none is shown. The price displayed is the total you pay.
Payment is taken at the time of ordering. We accept all major debit and credit cards via Shopify Payments. We do not store your card details.
3. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders within 1–3 business days of receiving cleared payment. Estimated delivery timescales are shown at checkout and are not guaranteed.
Delivery is subject to carrier availability and, for international orders, customs processing times outside our control. We are not liable for delays caused by these factors.
Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered. If goods are lost in transit, please contact us within 28 days of placing your order.
4. Product descriptions
We take care to represent our prints accurately. All photographs are Bob Deeley's original work. Print dimensions are stated at the nearest standard A-series size in millimetres.
Colours on screen vary with display calibration and ambient lighting. Printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on your device. This is inherent to the print medium and does not constitute a defect.
5. Cancellation and returns
Your rights to cancel an order and return goods are set out fully in our Delivery & Returns policy. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full.
6. Intellectual property
All photographs on this website are the original copyright work of Bob Deeley. The images, titles, and descriptions on this site are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, distributed, published, or used for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.
Purchasing a print gives you the right to display it privately. It does not transfer any copyright or grant a licence to reproduce the image.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any matter where excluding liability would be unlawful
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the price you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of data.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
